Beer

When I go out to a bar, I never know what size beer to order.

Do i get the 6oz samplers, or a 16oz tank, or maybe the 24oz growler?

There’s always the 32oz giant boggler…

I hate not ordering enough, but I hate it more if I can’t finish.

Its sac religious to leave alcohol behind…  So I’ve been told.

Next time I’ll just get a gin and tonic with a lime, and not have to make that choice.

Should I get a double?

All the money

I work
I work like a dog.
Since I own my own business, I do a lot of somethings and a little of everything…
And today, after years of struggling, back-breaking, endless, mind-numbing, stress-filled, sometimes gratifying work,

I figured it out.

I have all the money I need for the rest of my life!

That is… as long as I die by midnight tonight.

And life goes on…

Inspiration is everywhere…

You wouldn’t believe where I find inspiration.

In order of importance:

– toilet
– shower
– bed
– driving
– during a root canal
– 3rd drink at a bar
– toilet (I go alot)

I need all the inspiration I can muster.  I’m tired of sucking at life.

…but I’m still trying to improve, and find something inspirational every freak’n day.

You’re not rich yet, and it’s your own damn fault

Are you a dreamer or a doer?
I’m a bit of both.

Problem is, I don’t do either one particularly well.

If you’re a dreamer, then dream BIG
If you’re a doer, then take a lot of ACTION.

Don’t just “play” at it.

Either Dream or Do, but “really” do it right.

It costs no more time, money, or energy to think BIG or do BIG THINGS.

So what happened?  Have you lost focus, is it too hard, or are you waiting for a tap on the shoulder to set you straight, just like mom used to do.

Whatever it is, STOP doing it and get back to businesses.

Right now: Dream Bigger and Take More Action.

It’s like the canary in the mine shaft

Sometimes I’m the canary, and sometimes I’m the shaft.

Today is one of those days that the canary died AND I got the shaft.

One of my largest customers with more than 100 stores filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, leaving me with a sizable unpaid balance.

I’ll be fine, and so will my company. But the array of things, good & bad, that happen on a daily basis never ceasees to amaze me.

Some days everything is “SO SMOOTH”. Almost effortless.

And some days, not so much.  This was one of those “not so much days.”

I feed that damn canary every single day, play with it, sing to it, and clean up after it.

And what happens, it goes and dies, keels over to be found lifeless on the bottom of the cage.

I’m pretty sick of this metaphor now, so suffice it to say:
“NO MORE PETS”
