It’s a Wonderful Life

It’s Christmas eve and I just watched “It’s a Wonderful Life” for the umpteenth time.

I love that movie…

It makes me smile when Clarence, the “wingless angel” says: “Strange, isn’t it? Each man’s life touches so many other lives. When he isn’t around he leaves an awful hole, doesn’t he?”

And I still tear up at the end, when the town comes together to help George Bailey out of his $8,000 jam.

Life is a bunch of moments strung together, and so are movies.

My favorite moments are worth reliving from time to time.

But there’s nothing as satisfying as creating new ones.

Enjoy your own moments…

Happy Holidays!

Inspiration is everywhere…

You wouldn’t believe where I find inspiration.

In order of importance:

– toilet
– shower
– bed
– driving
– during a root canal
– 3rd drink at a bar
– toilet (I go alot)

I need all the inspiration I can muster.  I’m tired of sucking at life.

…but I’m still trying to improve, and find something inspirational every freak’n day.

You’re not rich yet, and it’s your own damn fault

Are you a dreamer or a doer?
I’m a bit of both.

Problem is, I don’t do either one particularly well.

If you’re a dreamer, then dream BIG
If you’re a doer, then take a lot of ACTION.

Don’t just “play” at it.

Either Dream or Do, but “really” do it right.

It costs no more time, money, or energy to think BIG or do BIG THINGS.

So what happened?  Have you lost focus, is it too hard, or are you waiting for a tap on the shoulder to set you straight, just like mom used to do.

Whatever it is, STOP doing it and get back to businesses.

Right now: Dream Bigger and Take More Action.

My Muses

Have you ever had that moment of clarity, where something you’ve been working on or thinking about suddenly seems easy or a solution appears?

Well, I have those all the time.

It’s my Muse, or Muses (I’m convinced I have several)

My Shower Muse inspires me several times a week when I’m soaking my head under a strong hot shower.

My Car Muse, who used to pop her head out after I hit 75 mph. I don’t see much of her anymore, since I stopped driving in LA. (The Uber Muse hasn’t found me yet!)

My “LNM”,  Late Night Muse usually stays up with me waaaay past midnight. “Inspiration” and “flow” come easy to me late at night. It’s been that way most of my life.

My late night Muse also has an evil side, because she makes me hungry at 2am and I start searching for a snack.

And my favorite Muse of all: My Chocolate Muse.
I’ve lost count of the number of great “upper limit” ideas she gives me while I’m munching on a bar of dark chocolate, or m&m’s.

I’d love to hear about your Muses.  Drop me a line, and lets compare notes.

If you need a new Muse, let me know, and you’re welcome to borrow one of mine.

All except my chocolate one.

If she stops working for me, I might as well stop working…

Winner -or- Winer?

Winners win.  They don’t know any other way.

Winners hit or surpass their goals.

Winners start with the same ideas you and I have, but:

Winners work their butts off by taking a lot of action.

Winners do whatever is necessary to finish.

Winners don’t even consider failing.  There is NO PLAN “B”

Winners are relentless

Winners do the work – even if they don’t feel like it.

Winners have a plan – and adjust when necessary

Winners understand that there is no straight line to the finish.

Winners have no excuses for their failures. They just try again.

Winning is all around us. It’s already in you too.

Everyone roots for winners – because winners do the work that you’re not willing to do.

Winers, on the other hand spend their day NOT being winners. It’s binary. You’re either working towards your goal or you’re not.

Which one are you? Winner -or- Winer?
