If you can’t Convince ’em, Confuse ’em

President Harry Truman said this about his Republican opponent in his 1948 presidential run.

It was recently expanded to: “If you can’t Convince ’em, Confuse ’em: and if you can’t Confuse ’em, Scare ’em.

in 2018, 70 years later, this old political phrase is unfortunately working too well.

It’s substance is repeated endlessly every day on the news and social media.

Huge crowds are chanting mindless phrases and for the life of me, I don’t know whether they are confused -or- scared.

I suspect a bit of both.

As for me, I’m just trying to work hard and make a living, care for my family and friends, and have some fun along the way.

Which means I’m already confused and a little scared everyday, without this political insanity…

Just sayin’ …

Winner -or- Winer?

Winners win.  They don’t know any other way.

Winners hit or surpass their goals.

Winners start with the same ideas you and I have, but:

Winners work their butts off by taking a lot of action.

Winners do whatever is necessary to finish.

Winners don’t even consider failing.  There is NO PLAN “B”

Winners are relentless

Winners do the work – even if they don’t feel like it.

Winners have a plan – and adjust when necessary

Winners understand that there is no straight line to the finish.

Winners have no excuses for their failures. They just try again.

Winning is all around us. It’s already in you too.

Everyone roots for winners – because winners do the work that you’re not willing to do.

Winers, on the other hand spend their day NOT being winners. It’s binary. You’re either working towards your goal or you’re not.

Which one are you? Winner -or- Winer?

3 Wins a day

I got this tip from Dan Sullivan of Strategic Coach.

Before bed each night, jot down 3 wins or things that went particularly well  today. Even on days where things go haywire, or there’s a bunch of negativity, you can usually find 3 things, even small ones, that were wins for you.

Then – jot down 3 wins you want to achieve tomorrow. Really try to visualize getting 3 great results.

This sets you up for a positive, results oriented day.

Do this for a week, and you have 21 wins.  Do the math for number of wins per month or year. Can you imagine what you can accomplish using this strategy?

3 small wins a day is all it takes!

Motivation

mo·ti·va·tion
/ˌmōdəˈvāSH(ə)n/

noun, adverb, sometimes a kick in the ass

Word Origin:
Moti – from the Greek politician Motissimo who was a sex addict, drunk and Senator.
He was know for having 3 wives, 6 mistresses, and a male concubine, he would visit on a daily basis.   He got very little done as a politician. (obviously things haven’t changed much)

Vation – from the Greek word “invasion”, which means go where you’re not invited.

So when you put the word Moti-vation together it means:

A drunk, sex addicted asshole screwing everything in sight.

Never a spare moment in Motissimo’s life. He was “truly Motissivated”

Do you really want to be “motivated”?
